We are pouring Big Ballard IPA today, from our home kegarator. What a great beer.
First off all, it is an Imperial made by Redhook, located in Woodinville WA just a few minutes from Bothell. Redhook was founded in the Ballard District of Seattle in 1982 and came out with Big Ballard after 28 years to pay homage to its roots. Rich, deep, golden and a very assertive hops character, as this is an Imperial IPA. Although malty and balanced, make no mistake – this beer whacks you from the top and the bottom after just a few sips. 8.6 ABV, 73 IBU, 19.5 Deg. Plato. What is your favorite Northwest brew?
